A Growing Trend Of Hookah Smoking
Hookah smoking has been around for about 400 years. Typically, those who engage in this social activity do it in a Hookah bar.
What is a hookah?
A hookah (or hook) is a water pipe. These have been used for centuries in Asia and the Middle East for smoking. This is a growing trend among adolescents and young adults. You can get the best shisha flavors via https://www.shishagoods.co.uk/product-category/flavours/ for the best hookah experience.
A hookah is composed of four parts:
- A smoke room or a base that is partially filled with water.
- A bowl containing tobacco and a heating source.
- A pipe that connects the bowl to the base and plunges into the water from the base.
- A pipe (second tube) that does not plunge into the water but opens in the air allowing the user to inhale smoke.
To smoke the hookah, you take hold of the hose and suck. When a smoker inhales through the tube, a pressure difference requires air in front of the heating source, heating tobacco; therefore, it releases smoke.
This works because when you suck on the hose, it lowers the air pressure within the hookah’s vase and draws the smoke down to it, even though the hose has no direct contact with the tobacco bowl itself.
The smoke comes down from the bowl through a metal stem running through the center of the hookah.
Shisha or Sheesha
Shisha is the flavored hookah tobacco. There are a myriad of flavors available, including liquorice, a wide selection of flavors of fruit, mint, herbals, spices, molasses, and even the flavor of Cola.
The smell is a mixture of fruits, incense, the dishes of the Middle East, and various non-identifiable tobacco aromas.
