Lottery sign-up – Everyone is welcome to sign up for the Creative Escape® lottery before February 15, 2010. By signing up you may win a chance to register for two spaces at the 2010 event.
Registration – Creative Escape® registration is open until all 640 spaces are filled. Spaces are released randomly through a lottery, beginning February 15, 2010. Only half the number of spots available are released each week. The lottery registration process can take up to three months, so be patient. Once Creative Escape® is full, any open spaces made available by cancellations will be offered to the next person on the waiting list for 24 hours.
Cancellation – Creative Escape® registration is non-transferable. Refunds will be credited to the same card used for the initial transaction. If the payment was made by cash or check, the refund will be made by check. Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for processing. For the limited number of guests pre-registering for CE during the closing ceremonies in 2009, a full refund will be given up until February 15, 2010. For guests registering after February 15, 2010, a full refund will be given until May 15, 2010. A $250 cancellation fee will be charged until July 1, 2010, after that date refunds will not be given. Cancellations can only be processed 24 hours after the initial registration. Hotel and travel cancellations are not the responsibility of Creative Escape®. We do not guarantee that transferred registrations will be honored at the door. Consider it a RISK!
No Show – Registered students who are unable to attend due to extenuating circumstances will be able to receive class kits by making arrangements prior to the beginning of classes, August 26, 2010. Notification must be made to executive staff in writing or email. There is no charge for shipping. If arrangements are not made before classes begin, Creative Escape® can not be held liable if class kits are not available.
Interpretive service for the hearing impaired is not available, but will be accommodated if a guest makes arrangements privately and notifies the event staff in advance.
What makes Creative Escape® unique? This weekend is meant for indulgence and fun. Each guest attends all eight classes taught by each of the eight teachers, and makes the same eight projects. There is no fighting for the best class or the best teacher – every person receives the same memorable experience.
Trained volunteers
Our veteran volunteers have their own following! Everyone loves them and you will, too. The ladies are available to show you the ropes, assist you with your project, and handle special request. Every Creative Escape® volunteer is required to attend two days of training months before the event takes place. They all learn the ins and outs of every project and have the chance to learn the techniques most important to the teachers. At the event, two volunteers are assigned to each group so there is always someone there for you. There are also two volunteers assigned to each classroom. These ladies are assistants to the teacher and are very familiar with the specifics of the class projects.

Registration
Come to the convention area of the hotel on Thursday, August 26, between noon to 5 p.m., Thursday, to check in and gather all the supplies you need to get your weekend started. All project instructions are included in a 100+ page idea book that will guide you through the weekend. You will receive a wristband, badge holder, and a few other goodies to make you official! The back of your name badge has your complete schedule so you know where to go first and who will be teaching your class.
Technique Boutique
Creative Escape® created this Thursday activity so you can get a head start on some of your projects, pick up a few products you will need in your classes, sit down for a make and take, and be introduced to some generous companies who will have product available for sale in the on-site scrapbook store. Plan to take a few hours to walk around enjoying all the activities. You will be issued a “passport” to guide you along the stations and make sure you don’t miss a thing. If you want to include an easy lunch in your afternoon, the hotel will have food service and seating available so you can purchase sandwiches, salads and other light lunch items.

Trunk Show
Creative Escape® teachers are wonderful, creative artists in many different mediums. Each teacher is available Thursday for three hours to meet you face-to-face. This is your chance to meet your instructors, look at some of her favorite projects, get an autograph, and a photograph. The Trunk Show happens during the Technique Boutique so fit it in whenever you have time.
Creative Escape® Opening Ceremony
Hosts Doug “Mr. Bazzill” Jones and Heidi Swapp will introduce you to the Creative Escape® teachers, give you a run-down of the event and everything else you will need to know to begin our weekend together.
Crop Room
Visit the open crop room late at night or early in the morning to finish projects, work on a new idea, or start something new with friends. The room seats about 150 people at a time beginning Thursday evening and ending Saturday morning. Come and go as you please but watch for special hostesses to visit the crop room during posted times. You might be surprised who you will see and what you can win!

Classes
Each guest attends all eight classes taught by each of the eight teachers, and makes the same eight projects. Each day you have four classes with the same group of Creative Escape® attendees. This is going to be your group for the entire weekend. How you choose to get involved is totally up to you. If you are a slow, methodical crafter, that doesn’t need much help, our volunteers will leave you alone. If you are always lost, dazed, and confused our volunteers will lovingly guide you. Two volunteers will be assigned to your group and travel with you from classroom to classroom. Each volunteer has been trained, taken every class, and has probably been with us since the beginning of the event. These girls are pros!
Be sure to sign up for a group after registering. Communicate with your friends to find out which group to pick so you can all be together. If you don’t pick the correct group or it fills before everyone gets in, no worries. You can opt in and out of groups through the beginning of August.

Friday Night Extravaganza
The Bazzill staff will be on-hand to lead you through through a one-of-a-kind project you won’t want to miss. You will definitely want to miss out on a few hours of sleep for this class fun, laughter, and a great project.
Closing Ceremony
The closing dinner ceremony is always an emotional ending to an inspirational weekend. Heidi and Mr. Bazzill give away hundreds of prizes from our generous sponsors, finalize our fundraising efforts, and introduce our keynote speaker. It is an emotional roller coaster that will carry you through until the next time we can meet again.
Note: Absolutely no children or babies allowed in classrooms, meeting spaces, or dining rooms AT ANY TIME. Please make proper arrangements for the love, care, and safety of your children while attending Creative Escape®.
