Lost and Found

CE Guests were wonderful about turning in items to the lost and found. Many things were returned to their rightful owners, but many things remained unclaimed. Melissa has volunteered to help you find your belongings and return the item safely to you. There is also an earring that isn’t in the photo. If you can describe it we will send it. Look at the photos carefully. If you see something you lost let Melissa know: melissa@bazzillbasics.com. We are tossing everything on October 1, so claim it soon!

We are outta here…

Plenty of preparing

We can’t wait for our time together. All the girls are wrapping raffle gifts, adding pretty tags, and finishing all the special touches. There is so much ephemera at Creative Escape. Keep it all and use it to document your special trip. Plan an album-making day with your girlfriends sometime in September when all the photos have been developed. Pull out all the goodies you saved, reminisce, and let the Creative Escape spirit continue on.

Drink plenty of liquids

Avoid headaches and all the other yucky things that come from dehydration in Arizona’s hot climate. Be sure to drink plenty of liquids – especially water! We want you to enjoy your visit with us and avoid the emergency room. If you are flying drink a few glasses of water before traveling. Always travel with a water bottle close at hand. Everyone here in the desert is happy to give you a glass of water – just ask.

Button History

The first year of CE we made little button pins as a cute accessory for a page layout Heidi designed. The second year we designed a few more and the tradition took root. Now, in year five, we have added 10 buttons – 8 of them designed by Creative Escape teachers. This is a fun keepsake, a great embellishment for mini albums created after the event, and fashionable badge holder bling to wear during the event. We survived the Great Swap Out

Susan Mast organized the Great Swap Out last Saturday and it was a crazy good time! Barbara, Heidi, Leah, Frani, Mona, Cyndi and Lisa all got together to shuffle and sort all the goodies everyone sent in for the Provo Craft Swaps. There were some fabulous finds – for sure. Thanks to everyone who helped, including Shye Petersen for making our yummy sugar cookies. It was just what we needed… a little sugar-rush…when we started losing steam. Won’t be able to attend Creative Escape afterall?

If something has come up in your life and you just won’t be able to attend Creative Escape – you don’t have to miss out on all the classes. Contact us prior to the beginning of the event, August 26, to make arrangements to receive your kits and all the other Creative Escape goodies. We will be happy to ship your items to you or you can ask a friend to pick up your kits at the event, but we need the name of the person you want in charge.

Remember: Creative Escape registration is non-transferable. Refunds will be credited to the same card used for the initial transaction. Full refunds will be given until May 15. A $250 cancellation fee will be charged until July 1, 2009, after that date refunds will not be given. Hotel cancellations must be made 30 days before the event. Hotel and travel cancellations are not the responsibility of Creative Escape. We do not guarantee that transferred registrations will be honored at the door. Consider it a RISK!
